General Information of Our Congregation

The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Anne, Guntur is a religious institute of Pontifical Right founded by Servant of God Smt. Thatipatri Gnanamma in 1874 at Kilacheri, under the spiritual guidance of Rev. Fr. Francis Arockianadhar.

The Congregation is firmly rooted in the evangelical counsels of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience.

  • Poverty: Each member commits herself to a simple and frugal life dedicated to service.
  • Chastity: Through purity of heart and selfless love, she serves all without discrimination.
  • Obedience: She submits herself to community decisions in the spirit of service to God and humanity.

Today, the Society of St. Anne is an organization of religious women spread across Andhra Pradesh and working in 18 dioceses of India. The Sisters manage nearly 90 institutions including Schools, Colleges, Health Centres, Social Service Centres, Evangelization Centres, HIV Care Centres and Homes for the Aged.


St. Anne's English Medium School – Kuttur

St. Anne's English Medium School, Kuttur was established in 2002 by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Anne, Guntur.

The school primarily aims at providing quality education to the Catholic community while preserving Catholic faith and religious values. It is a co-educational institution imparting education through the medium of English.
